Mini Banana Split

  • 3 bananas
  • 1 quart vanilla ice cream
  • 1 can pineapple (tidbits or crushed)
  • 1 small bag of walnuts, halved
  • ½ cup Maple syrup
  • ½ lbs strawberries, washed and quartered
  • ¼ cup white sugar
  • Chocolate sauce
  • 1 can whipping cream (or homemade)
  • Maraschino cherries


  • Start by preparing the pineapple, maple walnuts, and strawberries.
  • Empty the can of pineapple into a bowl and set aside. 
  • Pour the walnuts into a medium sized bowl and mix with the maple syrup. Stir to combine them and set them aside.
  • In another medium bowl, add the white sugar to the quartered strawberries and stir continuously until the sugar liquifies. If you want more of a puree consistency, use a pastry cutter and mash the strawberries thoroughly until you get the desired consistency. Set aside.
  • Peel the bananas and slice lengthwise and then cut them in halves (you should have eight pieces total).
  • Place two pieces of banana in a ramekin or bowl of your choice and place 1-2 scoops of ice cream in the middle.
  • Add the toppings you desire and finish off with chocolate sauce, a dollop of whipped cream, and a maraschino cherry.
  • Enjoy!
