Mini Banana Split
Ingredients
- 3 bananas
- 1 quart vanilla ice cream
- 1 can pineapple (tidbits or crushed)
- 1 small bag of walnuts, halved
- ½ cup Maple syrup
- ½ lbs strawberries, washed and quartered
- ¼ cup white sugar
- Chocolate sauce
- 1 can whipping cream (or homemade)
- Maraschino cherries
Instructions
- Start by preparing the pineapple, maple walnuts, and strawberries.
- Empty the can of pineapple into a bowl and set aside.
- Pour the walnuts into a medium sized bowl and mix with the maple syrup. Stir to combine them and set them aside.
- In another medium bowl, add the white sugar to the quartered strawberries and stir continuously until the sugar liquifies. If you want more of a puree consistency, use a pastry cutter and mash the strawberries thoroughly until you get the desired consistency. Set aside.
- Peel the bananas and slice lengthwise and then cut them in halves (you should have eight pieces total).
- Place two pieces of banana in a ramekin or bowl of your choice and place 1-2 scoops of ice cream in the middle.
- Add the toppings you desire and finish off with chocolate sauce, a dollop of whipped cream, and a maraschino cherry.
- Enjoy!
